We’re Hiring!

The Otago Catchment Community (OCC) invites applications for the role of Catchments Coordinator.

Based in Otago (ideally Central Otago or Lakes District), you will be responsible for managing catchment group relationships and their needs in your area, alongside working with stakeholders, Councils and other organisations to further the goals of OCC. This role will be overseen and supported by our regional manager, and strategic direction offered by our governance committee.

The OCC is a collective representing existing and emerging catchment groups in Otago with a goal to create and support an Otago wide network of catchment groups that are working towards improved environmental outcomes with a particular focus on water quality.

We do this by:

• Supporting catchment groups to establish their vision and direction, and providing support as they work towards their goals.

• Sharing the workload to ensure people in catchment groups have the time to focus on delivering “on the ground” outcomes.

• Providing support to new groups as they establish and become active.

• Sharing resources and fresh ideas between groups, seeking opportunities to learn and upskill.

• Supporting catchment groups to access the funding they require to achieve their goals.

OCC is committed to empowering catchments groups, no matter their size and stage and this role is pivotal in supporting great outcomes for Otago’s catchment groups and the environment.

Applications close on 20th July 2024. A detailed description of the above position is available by contacting Camille McAtamney at admin@otagocatchments.co.nz. The position is Full-Time and has an initial term of 1 year (with the potential to extend) through a contract arrangement.
