Coming up this Friday 16th August from 6-9pm, Art and the Albatross will be a very special event!
Local conservation worker and artist Chrissy Wickes will be giving a talk about her 10-week stay on remote Campbell Island in NZ's Subantartics. Learn all about what it's like to live and work on NZ's most isolated land mass, searching for albatross nests.
Chrissy will also be exhibiting a collection of her artwork, all inspired by her time on the island. All work is for sale.
The talk starts at 7pm and the art can be viewed before and after that. Wine and nibbles to follow the talk.
Venue is the Sidey Auditorium, Wanaka Community Hub.
